In the first part, participants will focus on getting to know each other, so it will be mostly composed of activities that aim at fostering sharing within the group, as well at the development of group cohesion.


In the second part of the module, participants will learn the concept and definitions of peace. This involves some theoretical considerations on the concept of peace, the presentation of studies focused on peace, as well as gaining a beginning understanding in its relationship with social justice and human rights. 


The third part is focused on understanding what Peace Education is, exploring possible strategies for its implementation and development with students, as well as practical activities aimed at teaching and fostering peace.


The fourth part deals with core themes in Peace Education that are crucial to address within its context. Participants will explore several theoretical concepts, how they relate to peace, and how to develop a working understanding of those concepts with the students.


The final part of the module has to do with Peace Education training, potential approaches, the teachers' skills and development, and possible challenges and limitations in doing work focused on Peace Education.
